This is a wonderful French Blue master salt that came from England. Made in the late 1800's, the base is scalloped with a short pedestal that leads into the salt bowl. Surrounding the rim are little beads of the same color. The bowl has designs of diamonds, vertical twisted ropes and horizontal lines. The base is inverted with a rayed design that covers the interior of the scalloped edge. There is an overfill of the glass under the bowl which was done when it was poured. This beautiful opaline salt will be one of your favorites in your collection. (493)(8/22) |

Here is a brilliant cut glass pedestal from England. With designs of cut diamonds surrounding the bowl, it is in excellent condition. Made in the early 1900's, it comes with a glass spoon. Measurements for this are 2-7/8" high by 2" wide. The cut glass base has eight sides and is applied to the bowl. This is absolutely gorgeous, and will be a real sparkling addition to your collection. Here is a very simple but elegant white footed salt with lots of gold trim. It comes with a matching handpainted spoon. Signed by the artist M.T., it is in excellent condition. Pictured is a lovely Nippon pedestal salt with colors of blue, pink and green. Accented with gold trim at the base and rim, it is in excellent condition. Pictured is an Anvil salt that was made by the Co-operative Flint Glass Company of Beaver Falls, Pa. Ed Berg tells about this item in his Salty Comments #79. In this wonderful old blue color, it is listed as a salt in the company's listings. On the interior base of the salt "Pat'd April, 1908 is marked. This has some inner rim roughness, straw marks and a slight chip out of the back rim. If you would like other photos I have them available. Measurements for this are 4-3/8" long (to the point of the anvil) by 1-1/4" wide by 2-1/4" high. OSC 591 Seen in the Open Salt Compendium 591 is this Kate Greenaway little bisque salt. Done in shades of pink she has a beautful face.The gold trimmed basket beside her is covered with little blue dots and is in a creme color. Her pinafore also has speckles of gold and blue dots. With her little hat and blonde hair, she is a real beauty. Unfortunately one of her fingers has a broken tip, but you cannot see it as it is on her extented hand. Here is a sweet Vienna, Austria rose china salt. The outside has a slight green tint while the inside is done in a pearl lustreware glaze. Two sides have double roses and the third has a single rose. With colors of rose-pink in the roses, it also has green leaves. It is signed on the base with the artists initials of M.D. as well as the Austria mark. Made circa 1900, it is in excellent condition and will be one that will surely please the collector. (504)(3/15) |
